I Took The Covid-19 Test: Here's how it went
A few weeks ago, I visited some family members. Two of those family members had already been tested negative for the virus. Other family members wore masks so I was fairly comfortable being around others. Honestly, it was because of the family members who tested negative that I felt it was okay to visit.
I wanted to be on the safe side and get tested two weeks later after my visit. Even though some family members wore masks they also had been places without a mask.
If you’ve been wondering how to get tested and how I did it, keep reading.
First, I went to www.doIneedacovidtest.com. I had to register and choose what state I’m in. From there, I selected the city and testing site. I chose the date and time. A voucher was made after I registered; you can print out the voucher and bring it but if you’re unable to print it out you just inform the workers at the site. That was it for the registration.
I was in luck because my testing site was not too far from my place. The site I went to was well organized. There were people there to direct and give me instructions.
At first, I was nervous but it was something that had to be done. At the first station, the workers retrieved my information.
The second station is where I was tested. I did the test myself while being directed on what to do. So the test was actually not that bad. I’ve heard stories of it being really uncomfortable. I’m sure we’ve all seen the pictures of people getting tested and it looks painful. I think it may make a difference if you do the test yourself or if someone else is doing it.
After the test was done, I was informed that I would receive my test results in a few days. I was also given a few masks and informational sheet on Covid-19 test and guidelines.
Thank God I tested negative!
