When I Fell In Love With Black & White Photography

Iv’e always had a camera growing up. I’ve always been into photography.
But I didn’t fall in love with black and white photography until I was in school for my master’s in new media journalism. I took a photography class. This was in 2013, 2014. One of the assignments was to look at an example of a photo essay. The photo essay I viewed was so beautiful to me. It invoked emotions in me almost as if I was watching a movie.
It told a story of a wife battling breast cancer (diagnosed a few months after marriage) and unfortunately losing that battle.
The photographer and husband, Angelo Merendino, said this on his website:
“After Jen's cancer metastasized we decided to share our life through photographs”
He later started The Love You Share. Please take a look at these beautiful photos as well as more info about their story at www.mywifesfightwithbreastcancer.com.
