The One Reason I Love The LipBar

Ladies, how many of you are still wearing makeup?

This time last year, I wouldn’t have had to ask this question but we are in the middle of a pandemic. With everyone spending a lot of time inside, there’s no need to to wear makeup. However, I have seen women adapt and wear makeup above the mask or learn how to wear makeup so it does not rub off on the mask.

I only wear makeup for special occasions and sometimes if I just want to feel beautiful and dress up (not that I don’t feel beautiful any other time).

One makeup brand that I’m loving is The Lip Bar. I love this brand because it’s black-owned and woman-owned. LipBar is all about diversity and inclusivity. I also love that it is a vegan cosmetic line. This lines up with where I am in my life right now; I am interested in anything natural.

With all that said, the one thing I love about the LipBar is that it is made for the average women. It is made for those who are beginners when it comes to makeup. You don’t have to be an expert. You don’t have to learn new techniques. It’s all about “Making Makeup Easy”.

I’m a person who loves simplicity. When I see videos or post abouts contouring,highlighting, or anything of the sorts, I admit I get overwhelmed. Don’t get me wrong, I do eventually want to learn different techniques and learn about different products, but my basic routine is usually foundation, lip gloss or lipstick, highlight, mascara, and sometimes blush.

In addition, one of the products I have purchased is the foundation. Here are reasons I love it:

1. LipBar has a shade finder on its website. This was very helpful for me and it was accurate for the most part. Nowadays, if I were to go into a store, I would have to buy the foundation first and then try it on. If it wasn’t my shade I would have to return it.

2. The foundation brush is attached to the bottle so it is essentially a 2-in-1 product. I think this is genius. When it’s time to clean the brush, it can easily be detached .
