Why I Chose To Be A Stay-at-home Mom

When I was pregnant, I told my husband that I did not want to work after having my son. I didn’t know how we were going to do it but having my son in someone’s care was not an option for me.

If someone were to tell me years ago that I would be a stay-at-home mom I probably would not have believed them. However, this decision came naturally to me. I am thankful for my husband supporting my decision.

My decision to be a stay-at-home mom was simply to raise my son. I believe as a parent I am here to guide and nurture and teach my son. I believe parents are the first role models their child/children will have. I want to be involved in my son’s life. I want to be there for him. And I must say it has been a blessing being able to see my son grow right before my eyes.

So I quit my job to be home and ever since then I’ve been in full mommy mode. Being home has allowed me to have my son as my top priority. It surely does help when breastfeeding because I literally have time to be with my son.

On top of this, being at home has given me the opportunity to pursue my entrepreneurial goals. Not only am a blogger, but I’m a published author, podcaster, and entrepreneur. This coupled with the fact that I’m an introvert is a perfect fit for me.

Yes, it is not always easy being home but is one of the best decisions I’ve made. I don’t regret it!
